Beta Xi Recolonization Update – March ’12

PRESIDENT’S LETTER

Dear Beta Xi Brothers,

I am writing with an update on the state of our Chapter and our Chapter House.  I am pleased to report that our National Kappa Sigma Fraternity will recolonize the Beta Xi Chapter.  The recolonizing effort will begin in April and Kappa Sigma National Fraternity will send up to five experienced recruiters to Berkeley to start the process.

We can and need to help them – it’s simple, really.

PLEASE SEND US THE NAME OF A STUDENT YOU KNOW IS CURRENTLY AT CAL AND IS A GREAT CANDIDATE – a son, nephew, or family friend who is interested in and would be a good candidate as a member of the new Beta Xi Chapter (legacies are a great place to start).  Recommendations can be made directly on our website.

PLAN TO JOIN ME/US FOR AN INTRODUCTORY MEETING-DINNER-EVENT IN APRIL.

I will send more details once I know exactly what we can do – but the Housing Corp will sponsor an event for Beta XI alumni who can participate in a “kickoff” meeting with the Kappa Sigma National Fraternity some time in April.

WE NEED YOU TO BE INVOLVED – SET THE STANDARD FOR BETA XI – WE’RE REBUILDING A CHAPTER OF WHICH WE CAN BE PROUD.

As a reminder:

• The Chapter House on 2400 Warring is in great shape.
• Our Beta Xi Housing Corporation is financially sound.
• Our recolonizing efforts will correspond with the timing of the completion of Cal’s new Memorial Stadium and the return of Cal Football this fall.
• The History of Beta Xi collection of memorabilia is near completion.

We’ve built the foundation – please join us and continue our momentum!
