Kappa Sigma Fraternity is celebrating its 125th year at Cal this year. We started at Berkeley in 1901, and from the beginning, we've been an integral part of Cal campus life and have continuously graduated incredibly successful young men.

Why Do You Belong Here?
● Kappa Sigma was founded in 1869 at the University of Virginia and has over 300 chapters across the U.S. and Canada.
● We are a diverse group of motivated, engaged, and gregarious students. We represent countries from around the world, have numerous majors, incredible interests, and through it all, we stand side by side in our Chapter.
● We award $35,000 annually in scholarships at the Berkeley level and additionally the Kappa Sigma Endowment Fund awards another $500,000 nationwide. Many of our Members received as much as $1,000 last year, and for Members who live in our House, our alumni match that award dollar-for-dollar. This is the strongest scholarship program of any fraternity at Cal.
● We encourage living in the House and make every effort to accommodate live-in interest. Our live-in rates provide a better economic package than a comparable lifestyle in other housing options (and, of course, living in qualifies a Member for a greater scholarship award).
● We require and support high GPA's and extraordinary campus involvement.
● Our alumni start businesses together, travel together, attend our annual on-site House Smoker, and volunteer their time for Undergraduate Career events at the House and career mentoring. You will meet and develop personal relationships with alums in almost any field you pursue.
● Our Chapter House is a modern floor plan and construction, has on-site covered parking, and we have a full-time on-site chef (again, unique among Cal fraternities).
